Gamma Correction
Finally got around to finding and downloading software for my laptop's video card. Not that it wasn't working, it's just that like many laptop screens mine did not seem to like showing certain colors quite properly. For instance, form fields on web forms were really difficult to see as the gray outline of the fields didn't show up, so a white form field on a white background made the field practically invisible. On on web searches, sometimes ads are show above the search results in a box with a light background color, but unless I was titling the screen at a weird angle that was somewhere between 120 and 180 degrees, the background color of the box looked white, just like the rest of the page. So installing software specific to my videocard allowed me to adjust the gamma, which helped correct these issues. It's still not great, but at least it's better.
